Firefox OS: version 1.0 simulator

Mozilla provides version 1.0 of its operating system simulator Firefox mobile OS.

Mozilla talks about a version 1.0 but does not take off however the label Preview of Firefox OS Simulator.
The reason for this caution is that this simulator is still new and the mobile operating system Firefox OS itself is still in development phase.
This version 1.0 is announced with the correction of several bugs and the possibility of even more use of Linux systems.

News published on 16 November 2012:

We had already discussed this possibility in our columns with the Firefox extension called r2d2b2g(Ready to Deliver to Boot to Gecko). Now, talking about the same Mozilla extension but as the Firefox OS Simulator.
It is a development that still remains in draft form (0.7) and is aimed at Firefox on Windows, OS X or Linux. This time, the result obtained for Windows is much more stable.
For curious users, there is a simple way to have a taste of the mobile operating system OS Firefox which is based on web technologies like HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
Nevertheless, it is especially developers who are affected so that they can develop their applications for the new OS (and submit ) without the need to install a pre-release of Firefox OS on a device.
Mozilla says that unlike other simulators, Firefox OS Simulator does not create a virtual machine. The extension provides B2G Desktop Browser, a version of Boot2Gecko project (code name Firefox OS) designed for desktop operating systems. This allows faster execution.
Once the extension is downloaded and installed without rebooting, it is possible to go through the Tools menu of Firefox development to launch and activate the simulator. A window takes the size of that of a smartphone and the user can explore the mobile OS (navigating the way that a smartphone).
